Dakar Audio Club are an original Afrofusion band formed by husband and wife songwriters Nick and Fatou to express their love of African Soukous , Mbalax , Reggae and Desert blues.They are also influenced by British 60's and 70's Psychedelic rock , folk and Jazz , Afrocuban styles and ensembles like the Rail Band de Bamako and Orchestra Baobab. Dakar Audio Club has evolved to it's current 6 piece line up featuring Si Egan adding electronica and samples , Mick Voo (Spin2 , Nightbird,Mr.Voo and the chairs)  on bass ,Tim Finch on Drums , Allan Kerr (Ombiviolum) on percussion , Dave Wood (Rifiki) on Guitar - Live performances also feature occasional special guests and old friends. To date they have received great audience responses at their dancefloor filling live shows and are currently embarking on recording and touring projects for 2015.  

 

Highlights of our journey so far include Supporting Misty in Roots UK tour at Exeter Phoenix , Headlining Exeter Respect Festival's Acoustic Tent , Brisfest 2013 , Worldbeat @ Timepiece. Our music has featured on BBC Introducing , BBC Radio Devon and Phonic FM , Beautiful Days 2014 , Supporting Baka Beyond at Exeter Phoenix , Exeter Respect Mainstage , Bradninch Festival ,
